Testing stuff for Noanga
Genta Int 21 - Pass
Zero Int - 14 - Fail
To help power the tech back on the Noanga, the Faevoured have all come down to an abandoned crystal mine on an insignificant, largely uninhabitable planet. From there, the group split up, and while the required crystals have been gathered, rumours of blood diamonds abound; powerful crystals capable of fuelling both tech and magic. Worthy to be found.
Two of you have decided to see if you could find them, with Genta leading the way with almost uncanny sense as to where these things might be, Zero tagging along behind him.
Genta finds them and, as it turns out, the blood part is very literal as the bright red diamonds grow out of the sodden, red ground. They crackle with power, and Genta is certain you only need two.
But you are not the only ones who seek the crystals. Before you can start to harvest, the ground shakes as three, 25 to 30 ft rocky geode-based forms make themselves known.
They are far from friendly.

At least he's got a crow with him, he thought then, and thinks now. Close to the rocks as he is, Genta can feel their energy crackle and hum, his face only slightly twitching to grimace when he sees the blood they grow from. Just a few crystals, he's determined, and then they can leave.
And then the ground shakes.
"AH-"
Genta doesn't even wait for the geode creatures to rise from the ground in full. He turns, Sawarako taking off from his shoulder, and makes a command.
"Prepare for combat-!"
Sawarako transforms (1 AP consumed). The crow seems to melt without falling, a torrent of black hitting the ground in the span of milliseconds. They take shape, filling out and growing limbs, and not one full second from Genta's order, a figure stands between him and the newly minted enemies.
"Archer," it announces in a gruff, mimicked voice. "William Tell."
Genta grimaces for real this time. "A Caster might have been better...or a Berserker," he mutters to himself, but it is what it is.
