Testing stuff for Noanga

Genta Int 21 - Pass
Zero Int - 14 - Fail

To help power the tech back on the Noanga, the Faevoured have all come down to an abandoned crystal mine on an insignificant, largely uninhabitable planet. From there, the group split up, and while the required crystals have been gathered, rumours of blood diamonds abound; powerful crystals capable of fuelling both tech and magic. Worthy to be found.

Two of you have decided to see if you could find them, with Genta leading the way with almost uncanny sense as to where these things might be, Zero tagging along behind him.

Genta finds them and, as it turns out, the blood part is very literal as the bright red diamonds grow out of the sodden, red ground. They crackle with power, and Genta is certain you only need two.

But you are not the only ones who seek the crystals. Before you can start to harvest, the ground shakes as three, 25 to 30 ft rocky geode-based forms make themselves known.

They are far from friendly.

This has been an interesting journey, as short as the journey has been so far. Genta is no stranger to strange circumstances - a singularity is just as often discovered by Chaldea as it is by him or his friends being pulled unceremoniously from one time to the next after all. Being sent to the Noanga was just...another such incident. And however long it takes, he feels confident in thinking that eventually he'll make his way back.

At least he's got a crow with him, he thought then, and thinks now. Close to the rocks as he is, Genta can feel their energy crackle and hum, his face only slightly twitching to grimace when he sees the blood they grow from. Just a few crystals, he's determined, and then they can leave.

And then the ground shakes.

"AH-"

Genta doesn't even wait for the geode creatures to rise from the ground in full. He turns, Sawarako taking off from his shoulder, and makes a command.

"Prepare for combat-!"

Sawarako transforms (1 AP consumed). The crow seems to melt without falling, a torrent of black hitting the ground in the span of milliseconds. They take shape, filling out and growing limbs, and not one full second from Genta's order, a figure stands between him and the newly minted enemies.

"Archer," it announces in a gruff, mimicked voice. "William Tell."

Genta grimaces for real this time. "A Caster might have been better...or a Berserker," he mutters to himself, but it is what it is.

"A berserker, huh?" Chuckles Zero to himself.

"Not today. Thankfully. But if you need something hitting really hard, that I can manage."

Dash thrusters engaged, he tears ass across the battlefield towards the closest golem.

"Engaging the targets."

He looses off some rapid shots on approach

There's a relieved sigh as Zero says that. "That's good to hear," Genta says, looking toward the Golems, "Because I definitely can't take these one on one..! I'll cover you," he adds with a shout, watching as Zero charges forward.

Very quickly though, Zero is getting pinned by two Rock Lords- and the one that got hit in the first place is probably planning to join in soon.

"Fire before they get close!" Genta commands. "Aim to incapacitate!"

There is admittedly, a small part of him that wonders if they could have talked through this. It's a nice thought...but realistically, probably unlikely. Not the least because of what they just shouted as they pummelled Zero. "You're not even fighting a group of Terrans...!!" he grumbles, doing his best to keep his eyes on both sides of the battle field while keeping behind 'Tell'.

The Archer, at least, hasn't been nearly so concerned with matters. With steadfast will, he aims-

-pwtt-

And fires-

pwtt-pwtt

Three times, aiming for any joints that can be found at the legs.

"Agh, Damnit. I got careless. I'm pinned in here..."

He watches tensely as the 2 golems lumber towards him, cornering him off from Genta.

"Hey Genta, You want em incapacitated right?"

There's a flick of a smirk appears across Zero's face. Genta didn't specify how exactly to incapacitate them, and he had just the thing to turn the tide on these 2.

"HISATSU!"

He stows his sabre back in his holster, as his right arm glows coldly with ominous black and purple flame. Before striking the ground with a full force punch at the epicentre of the 2 advancing rocky automata.

"Kukan Koneko no Ago!!"

A dome of black flames bursts open around him, and with it, writhing masses of tendrils, slimy and disgusting, shapes and colours the likes of which did not belong on this mortal plane, reaching and grasping in all directions.

"Then you're blind!"

That's all Genta manages to get out before 'Tell' is pushing him back, the two of them narrowly avoiding the blow from the incoming Rock Lord. Even dodging it, Genta can tell that his crow took a hit however; the arm doesn't bleed, but there's a strange misting ichor oozing from it, and he himself can feel the mild drain of magical energy that results.

That's not good.

A glance to where Zero is. That's also not good, but they need out of here first, and thanks to their size, these rock giants close distances FAST. "Incapacitated would make talking easier at least, but if they're not even letting us do that..."

He doesn't finish the statement. The abrupt shouting is a bit distracting after all. The corner of his eye catches...tentacles, flailing-

Ah. Best he pull a Mitsuhiko and not look, or ask. Instead, with the fleeting moment of distraction that bought him-

"At my command!" he instructs 'Tell', while bracing a hand against the crow shifter's back. A brief, invisible shield covers them, as he uses one of his Mystic Code spells (1AP). "Don't worry about what's coming!"

'William Tell' readies the crossbow, and from behind them, Genta cracks open a health pack (1AP)- best stay on top of the health for now after all. The Rock Lord is basically on top of them now. There's no time to try to play nice, no time to attempt any diplomacy (especially not with whatever is happening out of his vision).

Crackling sends an idea through his mind. They're surrounded by Blood Crystals. A power source. (INT: 19+2)

"LEFT!" Genta shouts, and the crossbolt fires (18+5)- but not at the Rock Healer.

At the wall of brilliant, bleeding crystals beside them.
